Beaches in Abu Dhabi

The Bayshore Beach

A 300-meter-long sandy beach at the InterContinental Hotel with a palm garden and water sports facilities. If you don’t live in the hotel, you can buy a day pass for the beach and use it to go to the hotel pool and the hotel’s gym.

Open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Radisson Blue Beach Club Corniche

This beach belongs to the Radisson Blue Hotel Corniche and is at the western end of the Corniche. You can reach the beach via an underground tunnel. There are plenty of water sports on offer and the attentive beach staff bring cool drinks and food (for a fee). 

Open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Entry Sunday to Thursday: AED 150 adults, AED 240, AED 70 children 5 to 15 years. Friday and Saturday: AED 185 adults, AED 300, AED 90 children 5-15 years.

The Nation Riviera Beach Club

Nation Riviera Beach is the golden sands of St. Regis Hotel and is located at the end of the Corniche. This beach is known for its VIP service. Pool, floating bar, jacuzzi, cabanas, supervised play area for children. Non-hotel guests pay a day ticket and can enjoy this wonderful sunny spot in Abu Dhabi.

Zaya Nurai Island

Zaya Nurai is a private island and of course can only be reached by boat, which starts from Saadiyat Island. The journey takes 12 minutes. On arrival, you will receive a welcome drink before you enjoy the wonderful pool and the white sandy beach. There are 32 luxury villas on the island, each with its own access to the beach. If you just want to relax on the beach for a day, you can buy a day pass and feel like you’re right in the Maldives under umbrellas.

Saadiyat Public Beach

One of the most exclusive beaches in Abu Dhabi is Saadiyat Private Beach. The Beach Club is just as popular with locals and expats as it is with families and couples. Keep your eyes open to watch the dolphins. Much is also being done on Saadiyat Island to protect the nesting hawksbill turtles. Private cabanas and a breath-taking pool top it all off.

Saadiyat Public Beach is the public beach that you enter via a wooden walkway, with sun loungers, parasols, changing rooms, showers and a café, a wonderful place to relax. There is plenty of space here to build sandcastles.

Open from 8 a.m. Entry Fees: AED 25 per adult and AED 15 per child aged 6-12. Children up to five years have free entry. Sunbed and umbrella: AED 50 (weekdays) and AED 75 (weekends and holidays).

Corniche Public Beach (Entrance 4)

The promenade that stretches from the city center to the Arabian Gulf is 8 km long and has one of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi. Here you can find cafes, and restaurants, rent a bike, stroll along the promenade, or admire the coastline. The public beach offers free access and plenty of space. Most visitors bring blankets and umbrellas with them. The beach is clean and safe. There are lifeguards, showers and changing rooms. A little off the beaten track you will find beach volleyball and soccer fields. Admission is free.

(Entrances 2 and 3) on the Corniche is particularly suitable for families and children, with playgrounds and sun loungers.

Entrance fee: AED 10 per adult and AED 5 per child under 12 years old. Children under five are free. AED 25 per bed.

Emirates Palace Beach

Since this beach is located directly at the legendary 7 * Emirates Palace Hotel, you are expected here with pure luxury. Many leisure activities and water sports are offered here right on the beach.

Al Bateen Beach 

At 8 km, this beach is the longest beach in Abu Dhabi, but it is also the quietest and therefore very popular with locals and families. Here you can watch how the fishermen pull their catch on land, play beach volleyball, or simply relax while looking at the Hudariyat Island or the Hudariyat Bridge. There is a separate area for women (entrance fee) and changing facilities. Lifeguards are on site.

There are around 100 parking spaces, open from 8 a.m. until sunset. Admission is free.

Yas Beach

Yas Island is known for families and leisure activities and of course the Formula 1 racetrack, but at the beautiful Yas Beach you can relax and enjoy a wonderful sunset. Many water sports enthusiasts, such as kite surfers, also come here. There is an adults-only pool party here every Friday. If you are a guest in one of the Yas Hotels, you have free entry.

Open Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Admission: for a day ticket AED 60 (Sunday to Thursday), AED 120 (Friday and Saturday), for beach cabins AED 200 Sunday to Thursday, AED 400 Friday, and Saturday (including 2 tickets) for chalets AED 1,000 Sunday to Thursday, AED 2,000 Friday, and Saturday (including 4 tickets). Kids up to the age of 11 have free entry.

Sir Bany Yas Island

This beautiful island is not only home to wildlife facilities, but also the most beautiful beaches in Abu Dhabi. Many hotels offer access to endless sandy beaches.

Beach Rotana

This beach belongs to the Beach Rotana Hotel. Pool area for adults and children, a 120-meter-long sandy beach, lifeguards, beach bar, restaurants, beach staff, childcare, here you will find everything your heart desires.

Open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Admission: Sunday to Thursday AED 150 per person, AED 230 per couple, AED 90 children aged 5-12 years, Friday and Saturday AED 210 per person, AED 310 per couple, AED 90 children aged 5 to 12 years. Children under five have free admission.
